Assuming the prize money was equal do you think we'd see top snooker players entering major pool tournaments in large numbers?
Straightforward question, no off topic reasons why this will never happen please!

They are two completely different games so at best a professional snooker player would only be likely to enter pool comps where his schedule allowed him to. |
Manchester United's last 12 league titles have all been won through favourable refereeing decisions. Fact. :0) |

Straightforward question, no off topic reasons why this will never happen please! id say most would take their chance at snooker until the age of 35 or so, then switch to pool. though if they could do both when schedules allow, they probably would. tv exposure / sponsorship may also come into it. prizemoney may be the same, in your example, but sponsors would pay for more exposure, so, if that wasnt equal, then that may influence their choice. |

Of course they would, money is money, as long as not clashing with ranking events. Snooker players have a massive superiority complex over pool players anyway, so would think they would walk it. Not the case. |
Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional. |

Not the case. some may, but i reckon thats an OTT sweeping statement. i doubt the majority of them have a MASSIVE superiority complex, though id reckon they think that pool can be for the most part easier than snooker. the ones who do have any superiority complex, however small or massive, wouldnt walk it in most instances, so i agree with that part, just not that "snooker players" in general.... most i know arent that ignorant. |

A handicap best of 29 BlackBall tournament in Wales a couple of years ago, attracted Matthew Stevens & Ryan Day. Think they were both off 4, with handicaps ranging from 0 to 8 (0 being the likes of Ben Davies, Wardy, Marshy, TC). They both lost early doors to relative outsiders. |
