That's the situation if Federer beats Berdych today which would mean he'd likely have to beat Federer or Djokovic to just reach the final of the French.
Obviously though it's the court's fault.
Fed/Berdych into a decider. 3-2 Federer, Berdych serving.

what difference does it make????? federer was always going to close the gap on the top 2 due to nadal and djokovic dominating for the whole season last year. you were probably hoping murray would close aswell but hes gone missing once again.
every player has moaned about the surface and they wont use it again thats a cetainty.
the french open is a different ball game all together and a tournament that will be decided by nadal or djokovic thats a fact!!!
federer and murray pmsl semis at best

It makes a big difference. If Nadal has to face Djokovic in the Semis and Federer get's Murray then Federer is likely to atleast defence his points. Djokovic has shown numerous times that he can beat Nadal on clay while Federer showed us all last year that he can beat Djokovic on clay so it's not crazy to think that Federer could face Djokovic in the French open final. That scenario, with Murray defending his points, could see Nadal ranked 4th going into Wimbledon.
Unlikely, yes, but this is a massive time of the year for Nadal with a large chunk of points to defend so there's alot of pressure on him and he's not playing well.
More interestingly though is Federer's chance to regain world number one if he can win one of the next two slams. Needs to win today though and he's just lost serve when serving for it.

federer could end up playing nadal and djokovic/murray, whats going to happen then charlie?
how is nadal not playing well? him and djokovic both beaten to lesser opponents and both had groaned about the surface from the start of the tournament djokovic especially. nadal wont be worried about the rankings because he knows he would have to better last season to retain no.2 or possibly climb a place. the most worried player in tennis will be murray as his has been shocking when he really should have been passing federer and nadal this season but the guy is just not good enough

Manchester United's last THIRTEEN league titles have all been won through favourable refereeing decisions. Fact. :0) |

Yeah we still live in hope that the best tennis player ever and most appealing to watch makes a resurgance and put those slow playing, loud grunting, towel wiping after every point tossers back into their place.
It wont happen obviously as age is no longer on his side |
I'm fat, that's how I roll |
