Advertising in the forums:

Advertising in the forums without the prior permission of a member of site staff is forbidden and could result in your user membership being suspended or revoked. We will allow many things - just ask first!
Simply drop one of the site team a Private Message detailing your request. We will evaluate your request and then advise you about our decision.
If you have an event you wish to promote, do the following:

1. To submit an event, once we agree to feature your event the following is expected from you.
2. Submit an article to our news editor; they will feature it on our home page.
3. A forum can be hyper-linked to the event to allow further promotion and conversation.
4. Whilst the event is taking place we request for as much information as possible to be submitted within this forum.
5. Post an event report. So that all our users and your participants can enjoy the success of your event, we request that a post event report be submitted within 48 hours to our news editor. This will be again featured on our home page. Photos of the event are also welcomed. If you do not have the facility to host these photos then contact our News Editor and we will host the pictures for you free of charge.

How to add an article to our website?
1. Go to the home page and select the submit news button
2. Fill in the provided form with all pertinent information such as dates, locations, start times , entry fees , tournament structures etc. Submissions such as “ £10 a person KO this Saturday at xxxxx club. 11Am start” do NOT constitute an article and as such may not be published by our editorial team.
3. Wait 2-3 days to give us some time to review your supplied article.
4. The article will then be added to our database and given space on our homepage.

Posting new topics

Off topic: A forum subject by its own definition will at times lead to conversations about side issues based around a certain topic. This is fine and totally acceptable.
Should a topic start to go way off subject a moderator will advise as such and, if deemed necessary, posts will be removed to return the forum to it's original subject matter.    

1. We request that members please check before you create new topics to ensure that one on the same subject does not already exist to avoid possible deletion or duplication.

2. Keep personal attacks out of the forums - this is not acceptable behaviour and it will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Persistent abuse of users will lead to your account being suspended and/or deleted.

Although the forums have designated moderators, it is not possible for site staff to have a presence online 24 hours a day. If a member feels that they are being verbally assaulted we request for that member to contact our site team urgently via PM with details of offending post(s).

Pornography and swearing

We will not accept posts of a pornographic nature (either graphical or text based) at any time. Violation of this strict rule will lead to your user account being deleted.
We have a swear filter and if you do find the need to exercise your freedom of speech with the use of foul language it will be captured by this filter and either 'sanitised' or replaced with asterisks. Whilst this filter isn't an exact science, it will work well for the vast majority of posts.
Should, in the view of site staff, a deliberate attempt be made to get around this 'swear filter', the site user will be warned via PM. Persistent offences by a user will not be tolerated and the users account will be deleted and they will be permanently banned from the site.

You are right sushi , I had the teams wrong. It just looks to me like wolves at home isnt such a daunting task and they might prefer he took his ban for the next two (if thats what will happen).

Colesy , there are only a few options if you do bookings. Paddy Power have just started picking out a few matches every week (usually the live ones). You can also find a "shown a card" market on betfair but the liquidity can be iffy depending on who is playing. Bluesquare normally have four or five players for each live match that they do specials on. These are normally strikers and also include "to score in both halves" , "to hit the woodwork" , "to be booked" etc.

The referee is normally the key to it all rather than the match. Dont think that west ham v chelsea will produce lots of yellows just because its a london derby. So many tackles go unpunished if you have a man in the middle who prefers to let games flow. The main men for me are normally Marriner , Dean , Webb and Atkinson. Also , look for running feuds that have one of these guys involved (like Hull Arsenal).

The specials , like shirt swopping can be with anyone , it just depends who is doing what. The good thing with specials is that no one has a clue , you have as much hope (on the surface) as the bookie. You just need to find a slight edge like when Jase put me onto beckham and the neville shirt swop.

Just seen that Chelsea West Ham is on Setanta on the weekend so hopefully a few firms will price it up. I dont expect it to be more than 2-1 though on a Parker yellow.

I also went and had a look on E bay and you can get 4mtr of Monster HDMI for a tenner so its hardly going to break the bank. The SKY rep I talk to tells us to buy a better one than the one supplied in the box. I'm not suggesting spending the earth but get a decent one.

Well i can't coment on the county finals as i didnt attend but at Golden Cue last year i was pleased with the weekend, and i'm quite happy paying £40 for 3 nights, i'm certainly not expecting a penthouse suite!

The scheduling of matches were good as well, we reached the last 16 and we were hardly waiting around between games.

Agree with you Punchy, by qualifying for the England team you've earnt the right to a waistcoat, doesn't seem proper to have to pay for it with hard cash as well.

I know we aren't a sport awash with cash, but the total cost of kitting out the England team shouldn't break the bank. I'm sure that more than enough cash for this was raised over the weekend by £5 fines imposed on players who'd forgotten/lost their ID cards.

The favourites and winners of the title for 3 consecutive years, Kent Ladies have gone OUT of this years Inter-County Championships in a three-way playoff against Cambridge.

An under par Kent side had seemed to struggle all day and didn't seem to have the same want and determination as is normally present and after losing against what seemed to be a pretty ordinary Lancashire Ladies side, the reigning champs continued to struggle and after their match with Cambridge which was nip & tuck all the way through, they fell short in the playoffs, being beaten 2-0.

I'm not a Defoe fan. Yes, he scores a few in the Prem but I don't think he has any decent skill level. It's all about hitting it as hard as possible in the general direction. No surprise his penalty record is poor. I'd expect decent defences to keep him anonymous. Never a starter. If Rooney needs a partner then on top of Crouch the other positions appear open at the moment. Heskey does not score enough. But if he does a great job Rooney will score enough for both of them. Carlton Cole has come on loads but it would be taking a chance to make him a starter at the moment.

Plenty of time yet. There will be one or two players who get injured so there may end up being some late comers to the squad.

The rescheduling of cancelled (bad weather) games always throws up a few oddities this time of year.

Very good point.

It's all about partnerships where each partner's weaknesses are covered by the other's strengths. Rio would not have been good with another CB who also likes to be the spare man at the back and attack the ball rather than mark a man.

Likewise many of the good man-markers need a sweeper-type partner to bail them out every now and again, e.g. Tony Adams with Gareth Southgate at Euro '96!

I just thought the purpose of the winding up order was to prevent that happening.
