Here

Saturday, 30th August, 2008 at West Midland Pool & Snooker Club, Bilston Keys Industrial Estate, Oxford Road, Bilston, West Midlands WV14 7DW. Just £25 entry.

Prize fund: Winner - £450
Runner-up - £250
Semi-Finalists - £125
Quarter-Finalists - £75
Last 16 - £25
Free cash prize plate event for all other entrants

This is an amateur only event open to a minimum of 64 PAID entries only. May seem a way off but similair comps we run, such as the North West Open and Yorkshire Open, filled straight away so enter early to avoid disappointment.

Fantastic venue, great tables, all day hot foods (breakfasts, curries, etc...) home of the West Mids county pool teams. Telephone 07708 502906 if you require further info.

OK maybe i shouldve called it the Midland Amateur Open. But either way it will be a top event, decent prize money, very good venue, and a chance for the amateurs to have a good day.

Ive put you down mate, can you bring your entry fees to PHoenix in a couple of weeks please?

As for why we didnt go with this to 147, well this venue booked us (Premier Pool Promotions) months ago! So we've set this up there. If venues want these events we will run them anywhere for minimal expenses (our staff work for free). We've had no complaints so far and i get emails/calls every week from clubs. We will run an event such as this at 147 but you have to be patient young man ;-)

It's called an open as entries are on an application basis. It's in contrast to being an invitational, that's were the term comes from.

nice to see people using the PPP site with great frequency to pay for events. I'd imagine that it the way to go now instead of sending cheques which is just a total nightmare.
